Preparing  For Camp

Earning the title of Devil Pup is a lifetime achievement. The process began when you made a commitment to yourself to strive for self-improvement. You are encouraged to begin a training regimen (if you have not already done so) that will enable you to pursue your goal to earn the title of Devil Pup. You will want to work on the PFT requirements: running a mile, push-ups, pull-ups, flexed-arm hang, and crunches. It will help you succeed at Devil Pups if you are physically ready for the several days of camp. Some of you will train alongside your fellow candidates in the weeks leading up to camp, but you can also do this at home or at school, perhaps with a parent or with a friend to stay motivated.


In addition to your physical training, you should include a disciplined nutritional, rest and recovery routine. This includes staying hydrated. In order to exude the leadership qualities your LR has observed in you, you will want to be as prepared as possible for the ten-day training schedule. The enclosed nutritional guidelines are intended to aid your training preparation. There is no time like “now” to begin! Earning the title of Devil Pup will be well worth your efforts and sacrifice.
